Date Night
Whether you’re a new couple, or have been married for years, date night is a crucial element that should be incorporated into all relationships. Date nights help couples to reconnect, keep the spark alive, and relax. In addition to getting out of an everyday routine, date nights set the stage for romance and remind partners why they fell in love in the first place! Date night is about enjoying the alone time shared with your partner, it doesn’t have to be expensive.
Need some inspiration? We’ve rounded up some date night ideas that you and your partner will both enjoy:
Go Out to Dinner at a New Restaurant:
Most of us are guilty of going to the same restaurant because we know we like the food and what to expect. But this doesn’t always have to be the case! Make date night exciting by dressing up, and trying a new restaurant. To spice up date night even more, order a shareable dish like pasta. There’s nothing more romantic than sharing a hearty plate of spaghetti with your partner, and having a cold glass of wine to accompany it. If you’re looking for some good restaurants that offer pasta in your area, check out our Pinterest board to find a restaurant near you!
Learn to Dance:
When asked how dancing improves relationships, professional ballroom dancer Tony Dovolani states, “It’s almost like you have a newfound love for each other.” “Discovering new steps together teaches couples to interact with each other. They’re looking into each other’s eyes, anticipating the next move. It opens up energy channels of feeling and connection. It rejuvenates everything.” Dancing also teaches vital communication skills between you and your partner, and encourages teamwork. If you’re interested in taking dancing classes, many cities offer group or private classes for beginners.
Take Advantage of Seasonal Dates:
Whether its fall, winter, summer or spring, there are a myriad of date nights ideas for every season! Popular date ideas for fall include going to a corn maze, hiking outdoors, apple picking, and fall festivals. When the weather starts to really cool down, take advantage of winter date night ideas like a cabin retreat at a ski resort, or even ice-skating at a local park. When it warms up again in the spring and summer head outdoors!
Cook at Home:
Sometimes you just want to stay home! The weather may be dreadful or you just don’t want to head out after a hectic week, but you can still make date night exciting at home by cooking together! Cooking together requires cooperation, and allows you to experiment with new flavors in the kitchen. But, if you wouldn’t exactly classify your partner as a chef, don’t worry! We have tons of pasta recipes that are delicious, and don’t require an excessive amount of cooking time or skill. Try choosing one of our recipes that you wouldn’t normally select, and be sure to let us know how it came out on our Facebook page.
