Michelle Obama Talks Family Nutrition & The Let’s Move! Campaign with Cooking Light
In the March issue of Cooking Light, First Lady Michelle Obama discusses the state of family dinner in America, the Let’s Move! Campaign, and more. The goal of Let’s Move! is to reduce childhood obesity by eating healthier, getting kids active, and having more family dinners together.
The issue also introduces a healthy, fast and affordable cooking curriculum called “Let’s Cook” inspired by Mrs. Obama’s mission. “Let’s Cook” is designed for cooks of all ages to make cooking at home more practical and includes recipes that cost under $12 and less than 30 minutes to make.
Since we are all about healthy budget friendly recipes, we are so excited to see that one of the recipes featured in “Let’s Cook” (and on the cover of the issue) is this mouth-watering One- Pot Pasta with Spinach & Tomatoes. The dish takes less than 30 minutes to make, serves 4, and only costs $8.43 to prepare!
