Pizza-Style Presto Pasta Paella
This creative spin on paella, the classic Spanish seafood dish, was one of the finalists in our Pasta Presto Recipe Contest and makes an easy, fast one-pot meal!
Pizza-Style Presto Pasta Paella
Prep Time 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked orzo pasta
- 8 ounces cooked peeled medium shrimp halved
- 4 ounces fully cooked sweet Italian chicken sausage sliced
- ¼ cup chopped sweet onion
- ¼ cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup frozen green peas steamed
- 1/2 cup chopped tomato
- ¼ cup sliced black olives
- ¼ cup snipped oregano
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- Garnish – lemon zest and grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Cook the orzo according to package directions. Drain and reserve.

If not already prepared, cook chicken and shrimp according to package directions. Reserve.

Place the rice pasta, shrimp, sausage, onion, bell pepper, peas, tomato, olives, and oregano in a large bowl.

Gently heat the pizza sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil. Toss with the pasta mixture to evenly coat. Make sure entire mixture is completely heated through.

Garnish with lemon zest and Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
